Raison d'être?[edit]

@Marcocapelle:and others: Is it really useful to keep this category tree "Eastern Catholicism" (which by the way lacks own article) parallell to Category:Eastern Catholic churches (with main article Eastern Catholic Churches? Chicbyaccident (talk) 15:18, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well, but the article Eastern Catholic Churches doesn't only address a list of individual denominations, but circumfer the whole subject in analogy with "Eastern Catholicism", doesn't it? Chicbyaccident (talk) 15:32, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • True, but there's also the matter of navigational benefit of merging versus keeping as is. Like in comparable categories such as Category:Catholicism and Category:Eastern Orthodoxy it keeps the category tree more concise and clear when distinguishing a separate church(es) category within the top category.
