Bostan Zar (Persian: بوستان زر), formerly the village of Bostan (بوستان), is a city in the Central District of Falavarjan County, Isfahan province, Iran. Bostan village was a merger of the villages of Dorcheh Abed, Hajjiabad, Largan, and Largichi.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as the combination of its predecessor villages) was 4,597 in 1,219 households, when it was in Ashtarjan Rural District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 4,962 people in 1,521 households,[5] by which time the village had been established as an amalgamation of four villages.[3] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,309 people in 1,678 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, the village of Bostan was elevated to the status of the city of Bostan Zar.[6]
