Various corrections needed[edit]
Finland is inaccurate. They have multiple plants and are building another.
Denmark is inaccurately colored red ("Red indicates those which formerly had commercial reactors, but which have all been phased out"), since it has never had a commercial nuclear reactor. Denmark formerly had a nuclear research reactor at Risø, which has been phased out. Lklundin (talk) 14:50, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- The same goes for Canada. They have started building several more. Somebody should change this --Striker1057 (talk) 18:14, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Italy seems to now be considering building new plants. See: [1] Please change color to reflect this. Lwnf360 (talk) 04:37, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Ireland should be listed as a nuclear-free zone (they have a no nuclear policy). 66.189.36.92 (talk) 07:11, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
By many accounts (official from the Government and the national electric power company), Croatia is considering building a new plant. [2] [3] (and already has one, shared 50/50 with Slovenia, but on the Slovenian soil near the border)
Slovenia is also planning a new Nuclear plant near the existing one. If all goes according to plan construction should start in 2013 and finish in 2017 according to the Resolution on Nationl Development rojects http://www.slovenijajutri.gov.si/fileadmin/urednik/publikacije/061127_resolucija.pdf Rokpok (talk) 16:23, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
- Added a section header and re-ordered posts in time sequence. Wwheaton (talk) 17:44, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Taiwan[edit]
25% of taiwan's electricity is from nuclear power (Economy of Taiwan) but on the map it says it has no reactors, please fix it.--Bezuidenhout (talk) 15:08, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Information from the Nuclear power talk page[edit]
Hi, I have a very small suggestion for the article. Image "Nuclear power stations.png" which is actually a map should be improved: Crimea must be the same colour as Ukraine itself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.105.131.51 (talk) 11:57, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- The map of countries with nuclear power plants is out of date, Ontario is building a new plant near Toronto is open by 2018. Canationalist (talk) 23:20, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think they're still at the planning stage. Darlington Nuclear Generating Station says "OPG has also begun the process for building up to 4 new nuclear units ... No decision has been made on what technology will be used but the government has indicated its preference for the CANDU design."
- But Italy is also planning new reactors, and I don't think Denmark has built one yet.

Missing countries[edit]
Following countries are missing or incorrect:
- In Africa: Ghana, Namibia, Nigeria - considering first NPP.[4]
- Albania - considering first NPP.[5], [6]
- Belarus is still considering, construction doesn't start yet. (see Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant)
- Turkey started the bidding process [7]. Is this still considering phase or already construction phase?
- Tunisia - considering first NPP.[8]
- Azerbaijan doesn't have any NPP yet, so it should be marked as considering first, not as considering new.[9]
- Mongolia - probably considering the first NPP, not building yet.[10]
- Venezuela - considering first NPP.[11]
- Bangladesh - considering first NPP.[12], [13]
- Thailand - considering first NPP.[14]
- Bulgaria- construct for construction of new NPP has signed (see Belene Nuclear Power Plant)
Beagel (talk) 08:57, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- Estonia - considering first NPP.[15]--Staberinde (talk) 09:06, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
The United States is building new plants?[edit]
I thought the United States hadn't built a nuclear power plant in about 30 years?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.237.219.147 (talk) 07:42, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Date needed[edit]
It would of course be nice to regularly update this interesting figure to keep it current, but at least it needs to have the "as of"... date clearly indicated. Otherwise its usefulness is severely compromised. Thanks, Wwheaton (talk) 17:38, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Incorrect or missing data[edit]
