Summary

Description
English: The skeleton of a young woman (estimated to have been between 14 and 16 years old at the time of death) discovered in Tang-e Bolāghi (Bolāghi Gorge), the Fars Province, Iran, dating from 7000 years ago. The skeleton was discovered in the excavation area number 73, near clay ovens, dating back to the Bacon Era. Prior to this, the remains of a skeleton belonging to the Iron Age (some 3500 years ago) was unearthed during the archaeological excavations of the joint Iranian-Italian team in the excavation area number 76 which is close to area number 73. This find concerns one of the oldest human remains unearthed so far in the Bolāghi Gorge area. For details consult:
