A restored narrow gauge steam engine that takes riders on a short scenic ride along the Portland, Maine harbor. This coal powered, steam engine only operates on Saturdays. It was manufactured by Vulcan Iron Works in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in 1918. The sound of the train whistle and the smell of the coal smoke brought me back to my youth when we lived a block away from the Great Northern RR line in Sandstone, Minnesota.
