Summary

Description
English: Armenian convent of Saint Saviour

The "Unfinished" Armenian church on Mount Zion began to be built in 1975, but has not been completed to this day (2015) because of a dispute with the municipality. By Armenian tradition beneath the church are the remains of the house of Caiaphas, the high priest who interogated Jesus.

The site is not open to the public, but if you DO manage to get in (cash to the guard might help ;-) ) the complex is a FASCINATING place!
