DescriptionEl Reno Heritage Express Trolley car in front of carbarn (2018).jpg
El Reno, Oklahoma's Heritage Express Trolley service is operated by this 1924 Brill streetcar that has been converted from electric power (supplied from an overhead trolley wire) to a propane-powered internal combustion engine. It is pictured on W. Wade Street just west of Grand Avenue, in front of the carbarn (out of frame to the left). The line opened in 2001 and runs along streets in the center of the small town of El Reno. At the time of the photo, the streetcar was not in good working order, and the service was suspended, but the car was pulled out of the carbarn to allow visitors to see and photograph it.
