English: Cilmery Halt, 1986.
View westward, towards Llandovery and Swansea/Llanelli: ex-LNW (partly joint with GWR)) Central Wales line, Craven Arms - Llandrindod Wells - Llandovery - Pantyfinnon - Portardulais - Swansea (Victoria). After Pontardulais - Swansea Victoria was closed in 6/64, a limited service was provided up the line from Llanelli: a'vintage' DMU is seen here coming from Llanelli. Miraculously, Cilmery Halt and the route - now called 'The Heart of Wales Line' - survived the Beeching Cut for 'social' reasons and has found a new life.
